Wedding Ceremony Script & Vows
The wedding script is the heart of the wedding ceremony. The script will spell out 95% of everything that will be said during the ceremony. A good minister will fill in various remaining places that need to be connected and will improvise depending on what else is going on: someone laughing or crying, wind or rain, kids not cooperating, etc.
I realize you probably feel overwhelmed at the thought of putting together your own ceremony script: you should not be. This is a simple matter and in a few minutes you will understand all there is to know about wedding ceremonies and will be able to create a unique and customized wedding script online. By the way, there are lengthy descriptions of wedding ceremonies on this web site under Services / Ceremonies and Services / Rehearsals.
The elements of the wedding script are as follows.
1. Entrance, processional & music
2. Introduction
3. Readings, songs, activities and/or prayers
4. Questions of intent ("Will you have this man/woman?)
5. Readings, songs, activities and/or prayers
6. Wedding Vows ("I promise to love you...")
7. Readings, songs, activities and/or prayers
8. Introduction of the couple, recessional and instructions for receiving line.
Although there are 3 reading sections (#3, 5 and 7) you may choose to skip them or simply have just one or two of them. We have simplified the process of creating a beautiful wedding script by creating an exclusive interactive application, the VowMaster, for this purpose. As one of our brides you have unlimited access to use it. In addition your minister can see your work and will collaborate with you, providing you feedback, suggestions and ideas.
Once you are in the application you will choose a paragraph from the templates provided for each of the wedding ceremony sections shown above. You can sort the templates by type - the types corresponding to the section names shown so it should be easy to make sense of it. If you do not have a paid reservation you can still use the VowMaster logging in with user ID demo and password demo. The demo is limited in the number of paragraphs and cannot save your work. Once you pay for the reservation you will receive your own credentials and will be able to save your work.
If you need some inspiration first, see the Wedding Ceremony Samples pages
Then go to the VowMaster page
Log in and fill in basic ceremony information (your names, future name, date, time and address)
Choose and INSERT the paragraphs you like
Order them using the UP and DOWN buttons
EDIT them as much as you wish
and DELETE the ones you do not want anymore.
It's that simple!
